Following the community consultation in October 2023, VSM Estates has advanced its proposals for the St. Andrew’s Gate, Town Centre Extension (TCE) site, and the former Cinema building. In July 2024, VSM submitted a hybrid planning application and listed building consent to the London Borough of Hillingdon.
The proposal includes up to 356 residential units across three 10-storey buildings, offering one, two, and three-bedroom options. It features a convenience store, flexible spaces for uses such as shops and offices, a new public square, Squadron Square which incorporates the refurbished St. Andrew’s Gate and Roundel Place, which provides a Pocket Park and pedestrian access into St. Andrew’s Park from Hillingdon Road. The proposal also includes green frontages along Park Road and Hillingdon Road, ample parking for residents and visitors, and a gym and café in the refurbished Grade II listed former cinema building.
